Pick and Mix Nails

Hi guys

I wont bore my regular readers with my OPI collection story again so you can check it out here but look what I created today!

Who cares if its raining, we live in England and deep down we completely except it even if we don't like it. So here's a little OPI nail treat with Sunshine built in.

OPI I Lilly Love You, Sparrow Me The Drama and Play The Peonies

Pick and Mix OPI Nails

I think pick and mix nails are a great idea and love it when the colours are similar or compliment each other. The colours I used where Sparrow Me The Drama which is the pink, The light pink but looks white on these pictures is Play The Peonies and the glitter is one I use quite a bit is I Lilly Love You.

I also followed it with the good old favourite of Barry M top coat.

I hope you like my attempt at Pick and Mix nails and inspires you to try it for your self.

Everything That Glitters Is Pink

Hi guys how are we all??

As a few of you might know I have erm acquired quite a few OPI nail polishes recently and here's a new ultra girlie ultra pink look for the summer. I used my trusted base coat from Barry M followed by the solid Pink Positively that I only needed one coat of and left to try for a few hours. Once I knew it was completely dry I painted over the top with the Lilly Love You and finished off with the Barry M again.

I love this look its nice and summery! it really brings a smile to my face on a drab day specially if I'm in work and the sun is cracking the flags.

Hope you like this colour, thanks for reading!

Red Red Wine

What can you say about a good red nail polish, it never gets old and always looks classy, in my opinion any way. As you may have read in my Kid in a Candy Shop post I have erm acquired several new OPI nail polishes as this is my latest favourite .

I love the names of the OPI nail polishes it really does add that little bit extra something and this one is called Malaga Wine.

OPI Malaga Wine

I used my favourite based coat and top coat from Barry M a snip at £3 if I remember correctly. I don't think any nail polish really if finished without a good top coat to add the extra shine.

OPI Malage Wine

The only thing I swear by if I have the time is always paint my nails in stages with maybe a base coat on in the afternoon and the first coat of polish in the evening, with the second coat and the top coat the morning aft. However as you can tell this is not always possible but giving the polish longer to dry seems to make it last longer for me.

The only nail product I lust after at the moment is a quick drying spray but I haven't read many reviews and I'm not sure if they are worth the money. If you have tried one please let me know or if you know a good post about one that would be very helpful.

Kid in a Candy Shop

This is quite embarrassing but I bought my first house last October with the boy but I bought a house literary 20 doors downs from my mums. Now don't get me wrong I am not still tugging on the apron strings but it is nice to be able to nip round when ever I want. For example to help my self to my mums nails polishes, I know she has a few bottles of good old OPI and I went round when she was at work for a stealth steal the OPI mission.

I literately couldn't believe my eyes when I opened her little nail polish make up bag to find this! She defiantly has been adding to this collection since I moved out. I Literately stole the whole box plus a few extras that I spotted in the cupboard.

So here's what I picked out for a nice pick and mix look that's very summery.  Expect quite a few nail polish posts these next few weeks and please ask if there's one that catches your eye and you would like to see more of it. As I wont be giving these back in a hurry, I wonder how long it will take her to notice there missing.

Pick & Mix

Summer Pick & Mix Nails

The two mini ones are out of a set I bought her for Christmas The Pirate of the Caribbean collection. The purple one is called Plank A Lot and the Pale Pink is Sparrow Me The Drama. The pink glitter over the top of the two nails is I Lily Love You which I think is my new favourite and I used the Barry M Basecoat, Topcoat and Nail Harder.

Hope this inspires you for summer nails whilst the sun is shinning and thanks for reading my post :)
