Scarf It Up

Hi guys

I said to myself this winter I'm making it my mission to accessories my outfits more as I'm not very good at it. So one main thing I'm going for is scarves, in all shapes colours and sizes.

I See Them
I couldn't believe my luck when I spotted this beauty in Zara when I wasn't really looking for it. The only thing I wish was different is they should do this in a load of different colours as I would buy them all, seriously. They do do two similar scarves with the same print in different colours but not with the lovely gold sequin detail.

The main things your all waiting for is how much it cost me and yes it wasn't dirt cheap but I think for the quality £17.99 its much cheaper then the McGueen ones I always covert.

This is the way I would usually wear it but I love the Idea of wearing it with a summer dress making it a little bit more interesting. I'm going to be taking this on my holidays so ill try and take plenty of pictures to show you if I do anything interesting.

What do we think? A bargain and a great find? or just a regular scarf with nothing to get excited over? I know my answer what't yours?

Don't Rain On My Parade

Hi guys

How are we all? I like many am praying for this so called summer weather that is meant to be coming our way. But in the mean time I can pretend its nice and sunny outside and wear an outfit to match without showing loads of skin.

Now let me explain the angle of this picture just in case your wondering, I had my camera on the smallest tripod you have ever seen on top of my garden table hoping that it was at least aimed in the right direction. What I do for a decent picture when the boy isn't at my beckon call.

Festival Frolics

Hi guys

I like many others are praying that this awful weather has vanished and the sunshine is cracking the flag by the time the festival I'm going to is here.

I'm lucky enough to be going to V-Fest this year as me and the boy bought our tickets straight after last years festival on the early bird special. Ill obviously be taking loads of pictures and doing a blog post on my antics but in these last few weeks I've been hunting the sales to find festival bargains and putting together my looks.

Now its safe to say I'm not even contemplating the weather being anything but sunny so I've gone short shorts all the way.

Lets start with the footwear shall we, these boots were an absolute steal!! from the River Island sale. If your a little bit sad like me you would of been queuing up outside your local River Island on Tuesday at the crack of dawn to make sure you got your wrist band to get an extra 50% off sale items. I did this last year with my friend and got loads of bargains so when I found out they where doing it again I jumped at the chance and was queuing up at 7.30am to get exactly what I was after. On a small not to River Island though I was very disappointed that it was only four items this year instead of 10 like last time but you shouldn't look a gift horse in the mouth as they say.

Lets start with my only shoe purchase recently with the boots. The boots started life at £75 as they are real leather and were reduced to £30 in the sale so I got them at £15 and couldn't believe my luck. However when I got to the check out I noticed they had a broken zip on one side and they where the last ones. So before I broke into tears over the loss of the boots the very nice sales assistant gave me over 50% off  and I got them for £7.50.

As for the broken zip I managed to get it working when I got home so even though it was missing its nice little tazzle on one side they can still be worn. I did take them to the little cobbler man in town and for the very reasonable price of £3.95 has done a little job on the zip so it looks all most as good as new and I'm going to keep my eye out for something I can replace the tazzle with.

Next is an out fit that I'm hoping to wear either with the tan boots or the good classic black hunters if the weather is not in our favour. The top if from International which yes is still actually going where I live believe it not and cost £7 in the sale and I also got another sale item for free. The shorts are a lovely pale green not something I would normally wear but a nice change from regular blue denim and cost £10 in the sale reduced from £20 another River Island purchase.

This lovely pink blouse as many may recognise is from Zara and I got it in the sale for £29.99 which wasn't much cheaper then full price at £39.99 but I really like this and decided it was worth it. This is the first blouse I've bought that have the lovely collar studs which I have wanted for a while and I am tempted to try and replicate this myself on some of the blouses I already own.
The very short shorts that I'm not 100% sure ill be wearing without a lot of gym sessions are another super saver River Island steal for £10 deduced from £40 so I couldn't say no. The gold studs were what caught my eye originally and I thought they would match the detail on the blouse perfectly.

I'm sorry to keep banging on about the leather jacket I bought from Zara a while ago (check it out here) but it seems to have started a love for leather that I never new I had. Last year I bought some rather expensive grey shorts from All Saints that I have to admit were a good investment but because I'm vain I don't really want to wear them for V again this year so I bought a good pair of black shorts instead. The shorts are slightly high waisted perfect for tucking in T-shirts and cost £7.50 reduced from £30.
The grey t-shirt was from International and was my free item in the sale, I'm not sure if ill go for this T-shirt or my grey spiked one from Zara (check it out here) with the shorts but I do like this kind of rock chick look.

Come rain or shine I will be going to V-festival but in the rare case it does rain in England I have purchased some classic skinny black jeans that I can wear with my black Hunters. I cant believe that I didn't own any black jeans and slightly glad that Jack Wills didn't have my size in when I went to purchase some from them for £50 last week as these only cost me £10 for my last River Island Super Saver item.

I hope you have enjoyed reading about my sale bargains and my planned outfits for V-festival, I will be doing a lengthy post on my antics and if you guys are interest Ill do another post about what I cant live without even when in a field.

Thanks

Rock Chick Or Rock Chicken

Hi guys

Yes the weather has been great over these last few weeks very warm and very Un-English like so if I told you that I had bought a leather jacket you might think I was a little strange. However waking up this morning to constant rain and 9 degrees I was very grateful.

The plans for the bank holiday weekend where meant to be great for me and the boy finally having four days off together getting to enjoy the great outdoors. The plan for Saturday was simple off to Tatton Park take a picnic have a nosey at some classic cars and have fun like children on the farm but the weather had other ideas and we ended up in the Trafford centre as per usual.

My shops of choice at the moment seem to be H & M and Zara they can do no wrong for me. I have been on the hunt for a good leather jacket for a while but god I'm fussy. They are either to hard leather to much 'stuff' going on with it, to may zips and the perfect ones being to much out of my price range, until now.

The feel of this jacket is so soft it has that worn it for years feel to it which I love, but buying that jacket wasn't enough and I added a nice grey vest that matches quite well. The leather was only £40 which I thought was a bargain and the vest was £20, I know these are probably not 'new in' but are defiantly a 'find' for me.

Zara Goddies

The back of the jacket at the bottom is elasticated and the panels on the back mean that its fits perfectly. The length is not quite cropped and comes a few inches above my hips which gives me a nice slim effect.

The grey vest top enough though plain has a nice studded detail round the collar without being to much. I also bought these with V-Festival in mind as you never know with this English weather.

Zara Vest Top
The styling of this out fit for V-Festival will be simple black Hunters with grey All Saints shorts the Zara vest and leather jacket, my eye make up with probably be very dark . However for a Sunday visiting Grandmas this is a much more day to day look.

The jeans are very old River Island and the shoes are quite new from New Look and I think they cost me about £16 another bargain.

After writing this post I really didn't like the picture of my outfit so here's another one with the jackets, Zara leggings and an old River Island floaty shirt.

Hope you liked my choices, Thanks for reading.
